Extracurricular Activities
LCS offers extracurricular activities from Grande Section to Year 12. The variety of activities offered allow students to learn and discover new artistic, scientific, cultural, technological, manual and sports disciplines ranging from robotics to dancing. The activities available vary depending on your child’s age, and may change from semester to semester. A new activity program is put together each semester and you will have time to see the program and decide what suits you and your family best before it’s time to sign up. Primary school activities all finish at 5:15 pm, and all activities are run by either LCS staff members or external providers.

Ambassadors in the Making
The public speaking contest Ambassadeurs et Ambassadrices en herbe or ‘Ambassadors in the Making’ allows students to put skills such as plurilingualism and linguistic and cultural mediation into practice in front of their peers and an official jury. Ambassadors in the Making is an annual competition in which participants from both primary and secondary school choose a topic related to current foreign affairs, and make a speech in either French or English, and interpret syntheses in English.
The first stage of the competition is an inter-LCS event in which seven finalists are chosen. The finalists then go on to compete with students at other AEFE schools in the Asia-Pacific region, and finally, the winners of the second stage move through to the final stage which is held in Paris, France at the end of the school year. The contest aims to promote the AEFE and strengthen the MONDE-AEFE network.
ADN-AEFE Exchange Program
Since 2017, our school has been participating in the ADN-AEFE exchange program which allows selected year 10 students to spend one trimester studying at another AEFE school or at a participating French school. The teaching staff of both the student’s current school and the host school cooperate to ensure that the exchange does not have a negative impact on the student’s education.
French Schools Abroad Orchestra
The French Schools Abroad Orchestra is a fantastic project that gives students the opportunity to travel and meet young people from all over the world who share their passion for music. Once every year, the orchestra brings together students from schools in France as well as from French schools around the world.Â
